  • birmingham body shop and/or machine shop?

    Hello everyone,
I'm a MS SCCA member, but I moved over here (Calera) about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, life hasn't allowed me to participate in any events yet...although, I'm really hoping it will happen this year.
Anyway, I have a question (a couple actually), and thought this would be a good place to ask.

Friday night, my wife's Sonata became the meat in a metal sandwich. I'm not familiar with any good, reputable, OEM-quality body shops in the area. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Also, I'm looking for a good auto machine shop in the area, too. I need to get some head work done on my slowly-on-going project car.

Thanks for any input y'all can provide. And like I said, hopefully, I'll actually be able to make a couple solo events this year.

As for Body shops, I can say that I have always gone to Anthony's Body Shop off of Hwy 31 right around the Pelham/Hoover city lines. The phone number is 987-1482. I don't know of any around the Calera area, but I have never had a problem with work that Anthony's has done.

My insurance works with Joe Hudson collision, i'm sure theyve got a store down this way. Their other store is on 280 right next to the target shopping center and bowling alley.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.
