still tuning on it and driving it back and forth to work . Signed up for the PBOC weekend at Barbers Nov 17-18 . Will probably take me that long to get all the bugs worked out . Thing pulls like a freight train from 4k-6k....i have not pushed it any harder than that yet and probably wont for a while . Taking it slow ya know.
Dont see it being ready to run Sunday but I may cruise out to see everyone.Last edited by zukitek; 11-01-2012, 10:39 PM.Ricky R

Got to see this beast on the way to work this morning. Very unassuming cruising down the street. Nice work!Matt W.

yes I actually took great pains to make it sit in there as low and as far back as I could get it within reason. Much work was needed in the trans tunnel and firewall opening area as well as dropping the subframe 2" to get this all to happen. I saw pictures of the installs that used the premanufactured mounts and adapters and it really wasnt appealing to me which is why I decided to go my own way in that regard . Most of the swaps I saw just sat too far forward and the engine was at a pretty extreme angle front to rear . It took a bit more work but I think it was worth it .Originally posted by seducksauce View PostDang. That's actually pretty darn clean looking, man! Looks like it sits nice n low and pretty far back too. Can't wait to see it in person!
I bet most are saying that the filter right in front of the radiator is a poor choice and you are right. I got that on there temporarily untill I take the radiator and have the upper hose neck moved to the passenger side then Ima run the air intake to the drivers fender and catch air coming in from the fender well like the factory one did . I was just so eager to finally drive it I decided to do that as I go along .LOLRicky R

Looks awesome!! did you have to modify the firewall for the bell housing? Also, it may be the pictures, but it looks like it sits far back versus other pictures that ive seen. if its on purpose, is that for distributing the weight of the engine behind the front struts?

It's definitely sitting very low and far back for an LS swap in an s-chassis. I saw it in person, and it actually sits nearly 2 inches lower than my KA in my S14! And is just as far back too. And yes, there is a performance advantage to keep the weight low, as it keeps the center of gravity as low as possible, and further back helps to distribute the naturally front-biased weight closer to a more neutral 50-50 distribution.Nick Stone

yes the engine is further back and lower than most LS swaps . This was intentional. Yes I did have to substantially change the firewall and tunnel opening. Didnt have to cut it but did have to work it over with a hammer.Ricky R
