I noticed, at the last event, there was a monster energy drink truck trying to come set up. I don't know what happened, but I ran into Steve from k98 radio this past week, and somehow the club came up. He seemed interested in the autocross events and told me to email him the clubs contact info. I haven't done anything yet, I was just wondering what the r ules on these things were. If nothing else, it would be good publicity.

Well, the way we handle this sort of thing can vary, but the board would need some sort of draft proposal as to what the sponsor/advertiser plans on doing, what they expect from us, etc.
Since we don't technically have a marketing person on the board, it's a group kind of decisions, but if you want to point him towards RE@alscca.net and AutoX2@alscca.net that would be a good start.
One thing to consider, especially with a thing like the radio coming to an event, is that there will be more people coming - which has a few hazards, and a few good points (more members!).
We do consider all offers though, and it never hurts to see what they have in mind.M. Cholewa

its no problem at all. just get him in contact with myself or mark. The Monster people were actually at Hooters, heard the cars, and came over. They are hoping to come to more events. This is all good things to happen for us. We have looked at sponsors in the past, and as long as they proper channels are followed (coming to the chairpersons, not doing it yourself) these things can work out very well. We are doing very well with our autocross right now, and having more people interested is something that will happen when things begin to grow.
