  • Any musicians in the club?

I'd like to find some like minded "car people" to jam with occasionally.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

I do actually play Uke, Mr. Smartypants.

My parents were bluegrass musicians, so I have also played Mandolin ... but only enough to teach my Mom to play then I never picked it back up.

LOL, I know you play. I've seen the guitar collection. On a side note, I love Bluegrass music, 100% American Original. When driving in parts of Tennessee and Kentucky when you have bluegrass playing on the radio, you get it. It just seems right.

If anybody is interested shoot me a pm. I play mostly rock and blues guitar. I can play drums a little too but it's been about 4 years since I had a kit.

The only way to travel through the rural south is to find that bluegrass station, crank it, and start making up lyrics about driving on the highway, bad relationships, walmart, beer, and cigarettes.

You all have obviously never heard real Bluegrass music. It not the same as redneck country. It more like a country version of Blues than anything.

I dated a girl who was the fiddle player in a bluegrass band, and we played bluegrass from time to time.

It's interesting to play on a saxophone, that's for sure. Always fun to test your chops on a different style, keeps you on your toes and your mind open.

Back in the day there was a small guitar shop in Childersburg. Every Saturday morning there was a pick'n session in the back room. Mostly retired gentlemen, guitar, banjo, mandolin, lap steel, harmonica. I used to sit in from time to time and I agree these guys have some serious chops. My favorite thing about these guys was that there was never this serious attitude. Usually some good humor in the lyrics as well.
