Hey I didn't get anything about Saturday, just FYI. I am pretty sure I will have to be working, and I almost had to bag Sunday over work, but as long as I work Saturday I can play on Sunday. Too bad I can't come Saturday, though, because I have the head cold to end all head colds, and I could give it to all of yall and make you all sick as DAWGS and then you'd all drive like crap and maybe, just maybe, I would not come in last.

Nice rundown of the facts, Sean. I'm getting more into the track day thing, now, but I have every intention of running as many Solos as possible to keep trying to develop my ability to read a new course and work on my aging reflexes. I haven't had a car to Solo with, this year, but I'll be back at it regularly, next year, I hope. I wanted to be out there this coming weekend, but I'll be on the job, Sunday, I'm afraid. Y'all have fun!

For me, the meetings are hard to get to, since I almost have to leave early from work, and get home much too late. Otherwise, I'd love to make it to them more often.

Maybe the emphasis during the meetings is so much on Club Racing because the Solo, TT, NDCCC, and RallyX programs are able to roll along with local club members doing the planning and coordinating, often by telephone, email or right here on the forum. Club Races require lots of help and coordination with the venue, other Regions, and Club officials from Florida to Kansas. Also, they can be a major source of revenue to support other programs, but first require significant cash outlays. Therefore, for some part of the year, they will get lots of attention at the meetings.

Also, the chairs of each program should be making reports at the meetings. If they can't make it, maybe they should at least send an email report, which could be read and reviewed.

In the past, I've suggested a postcard, at least every month or two, with a rundown of scheduled events, including meeting dates and times. This would be easier than a newsletter, and would give folks a physical connection to the Region - something to hold in their hand.
