Hey guys I'm new here I want to get into auto-x and probably trackdays and such.. I live like 5 minutes from barber motorsports. This past weekend I heard all the racing going on.

I have a 2007 Honda civic si 4dr. It is basically stock just has a 70mm catback exhaust. But I have plans for it.

I do painting and custom paint on the side. Wheels engine bays accessories etc.

I joined here so.I can get the scoop on events and learn. I also want to try and maximize the handling of my car.

Maybe you guys can take it easy on me til I learn the ropes.

Eh. I have work to get the car back to proper fit for racing. But I may come and watch. I have watched before

Just run what ya brung. The minute you start making excuses is the minute you stop yourself from having fun. Not to mention it will help spur the mod-bug in you to get to work a lot more than just thinking about it.

No maintenance type stuff. Lol. I had some wheel troubles broke a lug stud off. And I have a wheel bearing that I think might be trying to die on me.

Ok well those are legit excuses. You can get all that done in 2 weeks. Chop chop.

Well I just moved. So trying to get settled in. Like I said I may drive out there and watch. And if the money presents itself I will go ahead and fix these issues. We will see.

5 bucks for a wheel stud/lug nut, and 30 minutes to pop the wheel off and replace...cmon. You can do it

And if you only "think" the bearing "might" be "trying" to be bad, you'll be alright for one autocross.

Either way, at the very least do come out, introduce yourself, meet some new people, and ask to ride in any car you want to. You'll have fun. Welcome aboard.
