Does a robin have a red breast. Actually if you know Jerry Vogel, he used to run 225 Hoosiers on Miata stock 5 1/2 x 14" rims and the car never stuck better. Some might disagree, but we drove that car with all types of tire combinations and that setup was the best on that 93 Miata. (Ax setup only)

FSM? You need 275mm Hoosier A6's on 15x10 wheels.

on the front.......and you could run anything that would keep the rear off the ground.

You might rub since the car is pretty low

I can adjust my camber, so I'm not too worried about rubbing.

I dunno how much space you have up in your wheel wells, but on my 240 the factory size is 205/55/16 and I currently have 225/50/16 on them and I will occasionally rub only slightly if my wheels are at full lock and the suspension has some load on it, but even then it's only very minor. I'm also very low so I'd imagine you'd be alright.

I have a good bit of wheel well space.

Then you should be fine with the tire size proposed.
