  • Australian V8 Supercars

If you want to see some great touring car racing, check out the Australian V8 Supercar series, which is returning to Speed this weekend. Here is a link.

Speed used to carry the series over the winter months like they do the British Touring Car and DTM series. They stopped for a couple of years but, apparently, they've re-upped.

I will pretty much watch anything race and I love it all. This is the best touring car racing around, in my opinion. In the past, they've had large fields, full of sponsors. The cars sound good (5.0 V8's) and look good (Ford's and Holdens). The action is close and, while there is contact, it's not nearly as gratuitous as the British Touring Car series.

Check 'em out this Saturday - 3pm our time.

unless someone is bringing a dish and tv to the tnt i will be setting my dvr to watch it when i get home. Between WRC on HD theater and Aussie Supercar I will have my weekends full until F1 starts, and then I will be overloaded.......I love it!!!!!

We caught this at Neighborhood after the event. We were even able to get the bar guy to change the big screen from the NASCAR rain delay to the race! Isn't that amazing?!

Thanks, bar guy! That was pretty cool to watch for a while. Especially the suspension cam.

Why do I keep racing these weird cars?
Why can't I just get a miata and be happy?

Those cars are so freaking stiff too! the way they rocketed off of the curbs was awesome. I'm setting the DVR up to record these races ... too bad I don't have Speed in HD. Thanks Charter ...
