I am now fully enraged and shall beat Eric to within an inch of his life only to allow him to recover just so I can do it all over again! See you at the banquet, ERIC!!!

So lemme ask you guys who are playing this a question. Can you turn off your traction control on the unmodded car? Because I can't, yet all the top leaderboard people have it off.. Just wondering why it won't let me turn it off.

I'm getting consistent 1:53.0's with a controller and would really prefer to not have traction control up at 7.. thoughts?

None. I gave up on it after the first hour. It's horrible and I have an office full of good.

Got up to a 1:52.1, but still can't figure out why traction control won't move on the stock car. Even with a wheel hooked up it stayed on... meh

Even with the Logitech GT5 wheel it don't work... meh, not like I have a chance at winning anyway. I'm 1:52.1 with the sticks.. I don't know if a wheel could net me 5 seconds

I was able to turn everything off on the tuned car, and the same on the stock car except for the traction control which was locked in at 7. Monday was the last time I ran the demo. With the wheel I had whittled it down to 1:50.2/stock, 1:37.4 tuned. That was enough for spot #151 at the time, but I see it has been shuffled way down to #199 now. Will be off the board entirely in a few days, I'm sure. The return to work and post-holiday blahs didn't motivate me to get back in last week. However, I did take the sim back out to the shop and weld on a base for the PC. One pice of metal and a ratchet strap and the PC is installed/hard wired to the simchair itself now, can swap back to PS3 with the USB extension. I updated and played some LFS yesterday. Haven't had that fun in awhile. Looks like I'm .5 to 1.0 seconds slower across the board with 900* steering and the gated shifter, when compared with the old wheel and paddle shifters.

paddle shifters are way more win.

That's one thing I like about LFS. It forces you to use the shift style of the car if you have it available. So, once you have the H shifter, you can't use paddles in cars that don't have them.

Not to highjack the thread...but for all you NFS shift players, on facebook there is currently an online tournament where the winner can win $30,000 to use on autotrader.com. Just throwing it out there.....

Was that LFS that we did the virtual auto-x on, and are the courses available somewhere? I finaly got a new desktop & need some practice desperately.

Also, when are we going to do another virtual auto-x?

I'm up for one real soon. I love the trophy, but I think someone else deserves a shot at it.

thanks for the link. I grabbed all the auto-x tracks & started running them last night. Now I just need to save my $ for tires.
