  • CW's pinball report

Hey guys, I'm back from the World Pinball Championship. Unbelievable experience! Competition was like a Pro Class at a National Tour event! I was in over my head but I had a respectable finish. There were a total of 387 competitors in three divisions: A,B,and C. I placed 32nd of 67 in B division. Not too bad. I now know just how much I don't know!

I have been inspired to try to start a pinball league here in B'ham. We will be playing at BumperNets in the Galleria. No details yet. Anyone here interested in some fun and inexpensive pinball competition? Yoder, I know this is up your alley. Chris Knisely, Daryl(or your Pop)?

WOW!!!!! I didn't know anything like that existed. I'd love to get my hands a couple of the machines my uncle had in his Foosball parlor back in the early 70's.

That looks like it was a lot of fun.

Thanks for the reply's. It was really hardcore. These guys were pros! In 4 days I was at that place for 49 hours, and most of that time I was actually playing! I had bruises on my palms, my fingers were splitting open, and my forearms were sore for days! I was getting there at 10AM and staying until 2 or 3AM, then doing it all over again for 3 days. Brutal, but some of the most fun I've had in my life.
