Cotton State for 12 years, they have treated me very well. We price them every year and no one has been able to touch them.

I had good rates with Progressive, then about the same rate with Farmers, but their rates just went up a bit. I just got a great quote from Travelers and am switching soon.

Watch out for people who are really cheap...you have an accident, rate really jump. You have a teenager, I heard progressive is $2500 for each. Also heard is Geico finds out you autocross (cone by searching the internet) they cancel you.

I'm with allstate as are my parents, and they treated my Mom real good after her toyota can creamed a couple months ago... Gave her blue book retail for the car so she was able to buy another one straight up.

State Farm here. When I wrecked my first GTI a few years ago, they gave me blue book value. I was able to get back in a VW pretty quickly. My rates are supposed to go down this November, as it will have been 3 years without an accident.

I'm one year off of 25 for the big rate drop, but I've been accident free for 5 years, in a new car, with no record. And i'm still paying over a grand a year. I'm looking into geico so if anyone has any experience, holla atchya boy.

With statefarm for what it's worth.

I waited patiently for the "big drop" at 25. My 25th coincided with an across the board rate increase so I had no big drop, heck I barely had a drop at all.

Accident and ticket free for years!

Everyone at work that has dealt with Geico during an accident has had problems getting them to pay the full amount to get the car fixed. One of the guys had StateFarm and they told him not to worry they would just sue them(Geico) and get it from them since the other party that caused the accident had Geico. Sounded like they had a set price to pay for labor depending on the area you live and if you don't use a place with that set price you are getting to pay out of pocket.

FWIW I have ALFA just because that's what my parents have always used. I'm sure I could find something cheaper, but the one accident I had when someone backed into me they also had ALFA and I had no problems at all with getting the car fixed.

I had GEICO for about 8 years and never had an issue with them. Their over the phone customer service was fantastic and when my car was broken into in San Diego, I was cut a check the same day for repair. I had GEICO initially for my Integra and was able to get a policy and print off my insurance card in about 20 minutes....a nice online feature. Dena and I now have Farmers due to multiple discounts since combining our homeowners, auto, commercial, etc.

I started with an Independent Agent, had some issues, switched to State Farm and have been a happy camper for over 35 years. In the ups and downs of it all they have been very good.

Liberty Mutual for me. Their rates are especially low if you insure your house and cars. The rate on the cars was average, but the savings on the house made the combined deal a no brainer for me. Claims service has been very good.
