Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • NEW Time Trial Cars for TGPR event

With less than 4 weeks before the TT/TT School at TGPR we need to know who in the Bham area is bringing a NEW NEVER before logbooked TT or RR car to the event in April.
Please post here if the car is ready.
We would like to see how many NEW never logbooked cars are needing to be looked at. The process can take a long time (up to an hour on some cars) and we may make a special trip to Birmingham to logbook them.

Not from the Birmingham area, but, figured I'd reply here to give you a heads up.

We were unable to attend the Tech get-together held last month. So,
I will be bringing a new, un-log booked car to Talladega.

To the best of my knowledge, it is ready to be teched.
(Except for needing some brake work, but that should be completed next weekend <waiting on parts> )

Maurice, Didn't you compete at the Gainesville event? Didn't they require a logbook?

That was a SOLO Trials event at Gainesville, NOT a TT event.

it is looking, at this moment, that I will be attending (90% sure it is affirmative). I haven't signed up yet, but will have a decision made before the end of March. I would like to talk to a few people this weekend (March 29th) that will attending the AutoX in B'ham to answer a few questions I have in person.

I did compete in Gainesville. No logbook was required (I made sure I asked before attending). Nor did they have any logbooks available at the event.

They did do a complete tech at the event. I did have to notify them that I was running under the TT sanction (not sure if that's the right word, but can't think of a better one). As such, they did check all the TT safety requirements that are above and beyond the Solo requirements.

We havent' arranged for a room yet at Talladega, guess I need to get on that. My application should be in to Craig in the next day or so.

Looks like 2 to 3 cars out of this forum area, Maurice should be good to go or be flogged. Let me discuss with my panel of judges if we need to make a quick trip down.

When I read the supps, etc, there was NO TT Sanction mentioned. Just a Solo Trials sanction. Steve had determined that he would give TT points credit to those who ran in full TT regalia.

Yeah, like I said, that wasn't the right wording, but I didn't know what to correctly call it.

All I know is that if you were there as a Solo competitor, you had to follow the Solo Rules, and if you were there for TT you had to follow the TT rules.

So two folks could technically be in the same class, but prep and tech would be different (jeans vs. uniform, fire ext vs no fire ext, etc., etc.).
