Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

      Well, register!

It's a discussion about "Would you attend a PDX/Club Trials/TT event at AMP in 2015?"

The Atlanta Region has a new Race / TT chair and he's wanting to have new opportunities at AMP and Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Gotcha, I'm already signed up for a track day there with ITrack Motorsports (http://www.itrackms.com/) in March. Early bird registration got me one day with 6, 20 minute sessions for $180. Last December signed up for a two day event, 8 sessions, for $250.

If they keep it in the same price point I'd be interested in going back as a PDX driver.

They've got 100 open slots divided into 4 groups.

For the March 22nd event they've got 62 signed up right now according to the Facebook event page.

The lower 2 groups intermediate and novice, C & D, are 49 out of 50 full. For some reason group B (advance) and group A (instructor / time attack) are lacking right now. I'm in group B and there's only 8 signed up out of the 25 available slots.

If the old event page on Facebook is correct they had over 90 people there, ~93 the last time the updated before the event.

Again it was a limit of 100.

They were saying at SeDiv that both the sound procedures and equipment is much better than that initial SCCA event back when the track facilities weren't complete. Not sure on the db limit.

I think I remember hearing 95db as the limit? Not sure though.

                          Edit:

According to the PDF on their website:

Large track – 98 DBA “A” weighted 50’ from track edge under full throttle, near or at full RPM

Autocross/Kart track – 92 DBA “A” weighted 50’ from track edge under full throttle, near or at full RPM
