The supps are not clear regarding rental transponders and they are not mentioned in the registration process. Will they be available at the track or are drivers on their on?

Transponders will be available through one of the vendors at the track called "Trackside Tim". I would suggest trying to get the transponder Friday since the TT groups will be the first out on track Saturday morning.
Simply walk up to his shop-hauler, ask for a transponder, pay ($20 I think), and then take the transponder number to timing and scoring so they can enter it into the computer. Install the transponder onto your car so that it has a direct and clear line of sight to the ground (ie, not inside the car), and then drive....flat out....Last edited by e30Racer; 06-12-2013, 01:34 PM.Mark K

And don't forget to take it off your car and give it back to said Trackside Tim at the end of the event. I don't know who would do that, but
John Kilgore...if winning was easy, losers would do it.

SafeQuip was identified in the supps as a place to rent or buy Transponders. The phone number is the one for Trackside Tim. Something in the deep recesses of my CAS brain told me that SafeQuip was a older name for Trackside Tim. Sorry for the confusionCraig Farr

While looking at the entries for the Barber TT event I had to laugh. We currently have the perfect environment. Every TT car entered is the only one in their class. Perfect! Trophies for everyone! No classing squabbles and no protests! Why muddy things up with all that silly competition stuff?John W8
