Does anyone have experience with renting transponders from the Atlanta Region? Supps say call Safequip. I'm waiting on a call back. In the mean time, does anyone have a lead on a good deal for one?

For anyone going without your own transponder, here's what I was told: Atlanta Region does not supply rental transponders. Safequip will be on site in a black trailer and will have 25 units available for rental. I did not get pricing.

Yep, first come-first serve. He said they will be on site for the entire weekend, but the transponders won't be charged until Friday. I did not ask about pricing. He said historically they only rent 4-5 per weekend.

Is anyone staying at the track? Hotel?

Registered. Not sure how they determined the "small" vs "big" fendered cars...but I hope they allow the 2 driver cars to split up.

Small vs big bore is not to be worried about. They are basically going to split the fendered cars into 2 groups. 2 Driver cars will be accomodated. No worries.

60% chance of thunderstorms this weekend. Wish I had ordered rain tires. Guess I'll just take a rain coat and hope for the best.
