Yes, you can get the car log-booked before the event which is a thorough inspection of the vehicle and the roll cage/roll bar, safety equipment and the car mechanics in general. Since TT doesn't have an annual inspection like the Road racers do, you would also have to have someone at the event look the car over again although it's not as detailed since you would have a log book. Getting your car inspected well before the event is a good idea since it gives you time to make changes or fixes if any are noted by the Chief Inspector.Originally posted by Raznkane View PostThis brings up a question I have had, Can a car have tech done before the school? We need to get an idea of how many folks want to get their cars inspected and do a pre event log book session, sometime in January or February to avoid the late night before the event.

TGPR School
In answer to a question about limiting the entrants: I do not think we have ever thought about a cap for the school. Last year we had 59 in attendance.
Usually we have 10-12 students. But a few more instructors would be nice. The more instructors, the more personallized attention the student gets. This is a shameless plug for volunteer instructors.
Maybe SEDIV/SCCA will figure out how to implement the TT Annual inspection that is authorized in the rules. Cars that can pass a RR Annual Tech can do that. Another shameless plug.
THe schedule seems to allow for students and normal entrants to share a car. As usual, it involves a lot of scrambling around.
Recommend that everyone get themselves an AMB transponder. Either Chargeable or hardwired is all right. We will have a limited number of rental ones available. AMB has changed their policy about transferring a used transponder from one individual to another so that MyLaps.com will portray it in the new person's name. If you sell a car it is better to keep the AMB than sell it.
We start teching about 5pm on Friday night. It takes about an hour per car to issue a TT Logbook and there are only a few of us who can do it. You can do the math and see the potential problem. Best to get it done before the school.Tags: None
