  • TGPR "No Frills" Oct 2012

Yes, the "No Frills" TT/PDX at TGPR will be back on October 27-28, 2012. Sanction has been approved and the full information will be up soon on MotorsportsReg. Registration will open about September 4th.

As we are trying to promote the PDX a little more this time, there are some PDX changes. There will be 2 PDX Run Groups. Novice/Intermediate and Advanced/Instructor. Roughly 10 cars in each. Instructors (whether TT or PDX) will get their entry fees at $100. We have the usual $100 PDX fee for those who work a day and drive PDX a day. So if you intend to run PDX, best to sign up early before it fills up.

Worker payments will be paid $30/day plus lunches provided.

We do need instructors (probably about 10 for the Novice/Intermediate group). Brett Whisenant is the Chief Instructor and has a post up on the Teamtac website.

Eden Powell is the Registrar and Brett will be the Event Chairman. Andy Tow has volunteered to be Chief Safety Steward.

Full entry for the PDX is $250 - there are options of if you work the TT and run the PDX it is $100 for one day. Single day PDX (with no work) is $150. And if you instruct at the PDX and drive the PDX for 2 days it is $100 (instructor run group).
If you are running the TT it is $250 - if you instruct in the PDX and run the TT it is $100 (that will be a busy person).
Lots of options still a fun time, as always with this event.

              October 27-28??
Isn't this the same weekend as the TAC Night Slalom/TAC-TVR#9?

Can we register / pay / etc through the motorsportsreg link? I see the event but there are not options to register for the PDX or pay online?

Scroll clear to the bottom of the page and click continue then do it again on the next page. There you will find the PDX options. They currently don't do payment online. Send a check to the registrar Eden Powell (her address is on the site) or pay at the event.

Thanks John! I didn't scroll far enough the first time, the continue button is waaaay down there. I'm now registered for PDX both days, I'll print the forms out and mail in a check in the next couple of weeks.

You do not have to send the forms in with a check. You can pay at the event. Your choice.

We do not use the pay on line option because of the extra 5% charge it incurrs. SOmetimes that 5% is the difference between breaking even and losing money on the event. I guess we could raise the entry fee for everyone by 5% and do it then.
