Thanks for that John . Sortof gave me a little background refresher that I had forgotten. I hope I can make it out there but with Matt starting college in the fall and my present money crunch ...Ill be lucky to be able to afford to run TGPR in a couple weeks .Kindof ironic that I raced w2w in my early 20s had to leave all that when I got married and Matt was born...then got involved again at 35 and have been able to be pretty involved and now once again it is looking like I am going to have to yield to responsibilitys and reduce my involvement to a minimum. Kindof bumming me out a little.

That sucks Ricky. Maybe things will look up in the coming year and you will be able to at least maintain your current level of involvment. If I hadn't of had to cough up a bunch of coin to get my roof fixed on the house and if I wasn't working so much, I'd be ready to go for this event. It's looking like I won't be able to make it either...

Pretty disappointed that they are trying to run a solo along with the TT/PDX. I am expecting a pretty large crowd for the TT and especially the PDX. There's a lot of buzz about this track and I think people are going to be chomping at the bit to get out there asap. Add to that 200 autocrossers and I don't see how they are going to pull this off. I am afraid yet again, TT'ers are going to get the short end of the stick.

But I hold out hope that they have a plan and we won't get jipped on track time. I wonder what they are going to charge?

I don't think we'll get gypped for track time but the larger the turnout the less time will be allotted each run group. I'm kinda wondering about parking for potentially so many people. Agree this place will be a destination track for the SEDIV. I think the solo the same time is asking for chaos but we'll have to see.

Agreed! Luckily if we show up on Friday we should be ble to claim our spots and the solo guys will have to pack in. We'll just have to show up and hope!!!

You guys do realize that Saturdays festivities are held on 2 totally differant courses right? The solo should not affect the TT one little bit aside for MAYBE the possibility of a parking hassle but I doubt that too .

Sunday will be full course TT ...Saturday will be short course TT ...other short course solo. Figured Id share that .

I sure do hope that the parking will not be an issue. I just don't see where they are going to put everyone. The Kart course isn't even leveled yet according to the March 27th update on AMP's youtube page. And by having TT on only a short course on Saturday would mean they are splitting the course in half. Where will they put all the autocrossers, there is bound to be atleast 200 people for the autocross since it will be the first or one of the first events they have out there. And I figure the PDX will be full, as well as the TT event. That is alot of people to put in the paddock area where all the garages are. They don't have any layouts showing the rest of the grounds, so I can only assume there is parking other then the garages, but we don't know that for sure. And the pit entrance and exit seems to be the same location whether it is the short or full course, so the autocross and TT/PDX will have to share the same parking area.

Woo, just thinking about it makes me glad I don't have to plan any of the logistics for this. I sure am looking forward to running at AMP.

Probably much to do about nothing but looking at the maps of the short course I don't see where you would exit the track (pit lane) unless you cut across the grass. I wonder if the garages will be available or if those are owned by members?

Amen, Glad I'm not doing the logistics on this one either.

Below is my understanding from what Butch said on the other forums as to where the TT and Solo will be taking place on Saturday. Now this is just my interpretation, and Ricky has a different one, but either way, we will all have to be prepared for some teething pains as this will be the first event at a new site and things aren't going to work out perfectly.

W8, I don't believe the garages are available. I am pretty sure those are part of the "packages" that come with the club membership. But again, that's more of just a guess than being based on any factual knowledge. Also W8, you're right about the pit lane. Based on what the picture looks like (which is still really accurate), and how the actual course is laid out, there doesn't look to be any pit entrance for the "short course". I drew the short course based on comments from Butch. If you extend the short course to the "three-way stop" then maybe the entrance is just far enough down that you could enter pit lane. Or maybe they will make another short entrance for the "short course" that cuts across the grass. IDK, its all pretty much conjecture at this point. Either way, I'll be there. Have racecar, will race!

anybody got the details on this event or a link? I looked on atlanta site and no cost, no schedule, no run seesion details, etc. if its a decent entry fee and good amount of seat time, I might consider the drive. LMK.

I believe Butch said at the drivers meeting at TGPR, that both days are 250, and 1 day is 150. Saturday 1/2 the track and Sunday the whole enchilada.
