I was planning on working both days, but something came up on the 14th. I can likely do the 15th though.

Stupid question and it's just one of many. If I work both days could I let my wife take one day's track time? Trying to get her hooked on this stuff

Interesting. I'll have to check on that. As far as I'm concerned, as long as she signed the necessary papers and had the proper safety gear and we could find an instructor to ride along, I wouldn't see a problem. But I'm not running this show. Let me ask.

Are you wanting her to take your worker laps or do the PDX?

Possibly take my worker laps, I gotta make sure the BMW is track worthy cause she doesn't want anything to do with my Honda lol

Safety Steward has said they have no issues with this plan. Still waiting to hear from the Event Chairman.

The Event Chairman has no problem with this Mr. Leavitt.

We'll need to scrounge up an instructor for the ride along unless you would like to be her instructor.

I've been married for over 20 years now. I recommend NOT being her instructor. Telling your wife what to do has repercussions.

Is it required to have an instructor? Because unless you count my time at work I little track experience.

For folks who haven't been around the track before an instructor is provided. If you prove competent to be on track and play well with others you will get "signed off" at which point you can drive the track without an instructor. Not everyone gets a "sign off", some have even been asked to go home. It hasn't happened often but it has happened. There's more to learning to drive a track than putting on a helmet.
