Any word on the availability of a scrutineer for the upcoming PDX/School? I heard a name being thrown around, but wasn't sure if that ever got set up.

Is anyone going to be present at the Test and Tune that can at least look a car over if not sign off on it?

We are having a scheduling issue so far with the scrutineer. Edwin and the Kilgores are pursuing it as well..

I have not heard anything back from Rich Crowell. I have called him a couple times and left messages, but I believe he may be on vacation? I think I heard that somewhere.

I also tried to contact ATL SCCA and got in touch with their Chief of Tech. He passed on my email to the couple of scrutineers they have, but I haven't heard anything from them either.

Time trials Cars getting logbooks!!!

If you need a logbook for the upcoming TGPR Time trials event,
This Sunday March 6th at Milton Frank Stadium we will have a couple of divisional scrutineers on site to get you your logbook.

And while you're there why not run the TAC AutoX event and have some more fun on a Sunday afternoon.

Once again, come to Milton Frank Stadium in Huntsville Alabama for a logbooking session from 2 licensed Divisional Scrutineers.

Be sure to arrive early and bring your TT safety equipment as well since that is part of the logbook process.

Craig Farr will be there at 7:00am as well as Tom Turner. This is a limited time opportunity so get up and get going on Sunday morning to get your logbook/annual inspection.

Be sure to drill the inspection holes in your roll cage as noted below before bringing your car for the TT logbook.

11.3. TRACK TRIALS (LEVEL 3)
a minimum of a roll bar meeting the requirements of this section of the TTR shall be required in all cars.
E. An inspection hole of at least 3/16 inch diameter must be drilled in a non-critical area of a roll bar member to facilitate verification of wall thickness. This should be at least three inches from any weld or bend.

what's the general overview for the TT school schedule? I know there is classroom sessions, then lead-and-follow track time. Basically I am wondering if I need to leave my passenger seat in and have proper belts for an instructor or if you're solo the whole time.

At the TT School you are solo all the time, but you are under the watchful eye of our Chief Instructor. He sees everything and he'll have others watching also and providing feedback to you.

I have also received an email from Rich Crowell. He has been on vacation the past two weeks and thus why we have not been able to contact him. He is planning on coming to b'ham to do a logbook tech/annual for club racers and TT'ers on Saturday, March 13th. I will put down more info on the when and where when we get it ironed out.

With that said, I would still suggest people trying to make it to H'ville on Sunday so that if something is not up to spec, you would have a week to try and get it fixed, then have Rich look it over when he comes down. That's my plan at least.

Any more info on the one at Edwins shop on the 12th?
We need to attend this one and get one an Annual for one and the other a log book.
Would like to make the one in Huntsville but we still have a few things to do and will not have both cars ready so we will have to make the 12th.
