Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Looks like you got quicker in 1, 6 and 10 without the Sentra in front. I know I tend to brake early into 10 if there's somebody ahead. Too bad your best run through 10-12 was going to the checker.

The blind turn-in for 2 is pretty elusive until you've done it a few dozen times, but it does feel good when 2-3 come together.

Looks like you had a blast. I wish I'd been able to do the PDX, again.

Your talking 7, right? I thought 8 was the bend in the track under the pedestrian bridge (really isnt much turn at all)? Re: T7, I used 2nd most of the time, but you can get the Miata thru there in 3rd. Could not tell much speed difference getting to turn 10a using one gear or the other. 3rd requires you be spot on with entry speed/angle/etc. There is no apparent 'fast' way thru 7. 2nd gear makes the car easier to position on entry and thru the turn, and sure feels better on exit...but not definitively faster at the end of the back straight.

IO Port rollbar mount with a Sony handheld digital8 deal, something like 4 years old. Bought it used. 720p. I added a wide angle lens but it's not as wide as I want, or even as wide as the one I bought for my old HI-8 setup. The digital 8 plusses are really good battery life, a remote, and doesn't mind really big vibration/bumps. The downside, and it's huge, is having to encode the content. The raw capture from the camera looks GREAT, but getting it down to a manageable size just kills the quality. As an example the raw capture for this session above was 4+ gig. the file I parked on Vimeo was like 200 meg or so. I'm a pretty big dummy as far as video editing goes, I'm sure there are better ways to get it done that would produce a better result.

I'm a big fanboy of the GoPro Wide HD but have read alot lately about them hating vibration and shutting down.... if thats true theres no way those would have worked on the curbs in 10a/b. Getting on those all the way will make you check all 18 of your lug nuts!

We said "maybe, go see Butch" The guy goes back over to his driver and they get him out on track to practice (Friday test day).......15 minutes later the rollback comes in with their (very new) race-prepped Corvette destroyed. Both driver side corners were gone, the rear wheel and suspension gone, and the whole car was bent 10* at the firewall. I never got much info but supposedly he lost it at the bridge and went down the hill all wrong. Maybe Chuck can verify this- he was working the bridge station on staurday but may have been out there Friday.
Well.... was he allowed to drive in the TT?

Does that mean you're a real race car driver? They say real race car drivers just go when they got to. Did you or your wife wash your race suit?
