  • Instructors needed April 17-18 TGPR

We are in need of a PDX Lead Instructor.

We need regular instructors for the PDX.

How about some racers who do not run TT come on out and help?

If we do not get some instructors, the PDX will DIE

I won't know if I'll be on the road until a week or so before the event. If I'm in town I'm there.

I would like to do some instructing at TGPR. I have inquired about it before and I believe I have enough driving experience and insite to help out.

I am doing the TT school but if there is time I can instruct. I was an instructor for the local PCA for about 5 years and ran their DE evants in 1992. I have hundreds of laps there. I would be glad to help out where needed as time allows.

                Ideally,
If you are taking the TT school you can't be an instructor, you'll be busy doing other things.

If you are taking the PDX, you can't be an instructor.

If you are competing in the TT event you may be asked to volunteer to
assist the Chief Time Trial Driving Instructor.

The PDX and TT event are separate events running concurrently so I need instructors for PDX that are not distracted by participating in the TT.

                Thanks for your responses

You'll need to get the car a logbook for TT competition. There is a different procedure for the PDX happening that weekend.

Regarding Time Trials, see this thread for 2010 logbook tech party info:

A light tech inspection will happen the day of the event but it's pretty much just getting the logbook signed off for that particular TT. Time Trial rules are here:

Hey W8, I will be there either on a corner or can instruct. Heck, I may even bring a yellow car with me for some testing......

Well we have the Chief PDX instructor. Mike Wenning has accepted the title and is more than qualified to run the PDX portion of the event. I'd like to thank Mike for his support of the club and Time Trials.

Bump, Robby and Clayton have stepped up to instruct. Come on Chuck, Steve, Bobby, and who else? Mike needs some instructors, we need to make this event a success like it always has been in the past......
