Has anybody else seen this waiver yet? Getting ready to renew my membership and there is a liability waiver to sign that has to be witnessed by an SCCA Registrar or Notary Public. Don't mind signing but, the Notary or Registrar is a huge pain. Why are things becoming more and more difficult? Surely an easier way can be established.

First of all, it's an option, not a requirement.
You could just wait until your first event, and the registrar could sign it then. Alternatively, you could just sign the event waiver each time. The only advantage to doing this is the cool "hard card," I guess. You still have to show up at registration to make sure your bills are paid and that they know you are there.
I'm eligible for a "special" hard card for X number of volunteer days, but I'd have to fool with the annual waiver process to get it. It wasn't worth the trouble, and I've since lost the paperwork.Chuck Schultz
