  • Saturdays Clinic...

The clinic itself went very well. I on the other hand learned something very valuable this Saturday. What Greg does in front of the students and parents is amazing. I've stood on stage in front of tons of people, sometimes I made them laugh sometimes I could hear crickets and the crickets never bothered me a bit. I've conducted training classes for insurance agents, Ford employees and dealership owners. I have never in my life been as nervous as I was this Saturday standing in front of that group.

The only reason I can think of for this getting to me the way it did was the message being presented. I'm pretty sure the weight of what we are teaching these 15 and 16 year olds hit me over the head like 14 tons of brick. When you come out to help with this clinic,no matter what role you play during the day, you are really making a difference in the students lives.

Thanks so much for being there to step in when I stumbled Greg. Thanks to everyone that encouraged me in between the classroom segments and thanks to the Students and parents for coming out and allowing us to start the foundation for their children to be better drivers, not just part of the masses that knows what a stop sign is and has no idea how to really control their car.

    Sean

Once the PPT is completed, it will be much easier to keep your place in the presentation. Yes ... it will eventually be completed.

Hey Sean - I know I wasnt there this Saturday (sorry! dang finals!!) but I wanted to say that - even though I only taught the vehicle dynamics section that one day - I felt the exact same way. I was sooo nervous in front of them, even though public speaking has never really bothered me. I couldnt figure out why, but I think you hit the nail on the head. I wish I could have been there to see your debut tho! Hopefully I won't have to miss another one this year!
