  • NDCCC Video

I have a DVD file of the video uploaded to my web site. It's a .vob file. I know absolutely nothing about these things, but I'm pretty sure there's a better (i.e. smaller) file format for the web.

If one of you web nerds would PM me what what to do, software to use, etc., I'll make it public.

    Thanks,

    Greg

You can probably download Divx and convert it to .avi for a bit of compression and better streaming.

Greg would you mind posting a direct link to it. I might know someone that could convert it.

(withdrawn - the bandwidth charges will KILL me. If you need the link, PM me. Thanks)

It's 268mb in this format. It may take a while......

Which I disagree with, I'm glad the gravel trap was there...otherwise I might be getting the hard-luck instead

I didn't get around to this last night. I'm sorry. I'm sending myself a note to do it today.

To reiterate my post in laymen terms ...

"I cannot download the file as it is blocked from my work location. I have the ability to convert the video in to a format more conducive to online viewing (using the Apple Quicktime player)."

Feel free to stream, but please right-click and "Save As ..." if you plan to watch more than once.

EDIT :: It seems that the files aren't prepped for streaming ... so, you'll have to wait for it to DL before playing anyway.
