  • Film for Awards Banquet

Some of you may remember that during our April clinic an independent film maker (Randy Archer of Creek Bank Films) shot some footage with the intent of putting something together for us. I have been in touch with him and he intends to have something ready by the Awards Banquet.

    My questions to you are:

    1. Is this OK? I guess some of you BoD types to to field this one.

    2. How can we show this? I'm assuming that the final product will be some sort of computer video file. So we would need a laptop (I can probably handle that) and a monitor, the huger the betterer. I have no idea about how to get one.

    3. Having not seen the final product, I don't know if the film should be part of a presentation on NDCCC, or simply something continuously looping in the background.

    3. Who is setting the agenda? And can NDCCC have a spot on the agenda? My thoughts are to invite one or two of the students and their parent as our guest, and let them talk a minute or two about what they learned at the clinic, and how it has helped them since taking it.

    Ideas please....

BTW, you need to check out some of Randy's work at Creek Bank Films

I think it would be a good idea to show the film as long as it’s not super long. That way some of the members that are interested in this but are not sure what it’s like can get a look. I think it would be great to have a few parents and students there, that way thay can see what our club is all about and again show the members who we are actually helping out with this great program.

    Just my thoughts.

Hans is running the show, I'm sure he would be more than willing to give you a spot. He seems to know the people there pretty well and might be able to get you whatever you need to show the video too. I don't have his number though...

Yes .....it was at first represented by Hans that he was going to handle the banquet but all of a sudden in the middle of it.... it seems I was elected as the guy for the agenda .

If anyone wants to be a part of the agenda please email me at nismoautoxr@hotmail.com

I am all about having a NDCCC contribution. It can be in any form the person responsible for it deems so long as its made possible by them or their agents and I am made aware of what time it needs to happen and how long a slot of time it requires.

Obviously,I am the new kid on the block and I was thrown into this by surprise so I am playing catchup .Email all and any proposals to nismoautoxr@hotmail.com.

Randy Archer sent me a rough cut of the video today and it is awesome!

It can be produced as a DVD or a PC video file. I'll get with Ricky Ragan and see what the Country Club may have for us to play it on.

The rest of you guys will just have to wait until Saturday night to check it out.
