  • Parent feedback from 10/8/11 TDC

First of all, thanks to all the volunteers for your hard work this past Saturday! Michael posted this thought on Facebook and I will echo it here: Saturday was likely the best TDC I have been involved with. Everything went off without a hitch, we had a great group of students & parents, and we were even done a little early!

I have gotten email from a couple of the parents already and want to share them to reinforce that your hard work was much appreciated!

from Ann Strozier... (Clay was driving the green S10 Blazer)

    "Hi Rod,

I just wanted you to know how much Clay and I enjoyed the clinic yesterday – it was a blast!! Clay mentioned several times that he felt more confident and prepared to drive after attending the clinic. He has had his permit for several months but has been a tad reluctant to drive. I think the clinic helped change the fear of the unknown to preparedness and respect.

The classroom material was well presented and easily applied in the exercises that followed. The driving exercises were expertly handled and perfectly timed – Clay would drive through an exercise then have time to process his performance and plan changes before driving again. The club members who offered encouragement and advice were so helpful, too. And, of course, now Clay wants one of “those cars”. Please give C and Sara, Nick, Griffin and everybody else who blasted my child around a course my thanks – I don’t know whether to hug their necks or hunt ‘em down

Thanks again to all who made the day so spectacular!!

    Ann

p.s. Could Clay participate in an autocross event with his permit or does he need a license?"

from Richard Brown... (Erin was in the red Honda Pilot)
    "Rod,

Thank you again for the wonderful job you and your team did Saturday. Erin and I thoroughly enjoyed it and I know she is a much better and more prepared driver now. I've already recommended the course to several of our friends with 15 and 16 year old children.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

Here is another note I received today. Emily was driving the white GMC Yukon XL.

          Rod,
I just thought my heart hadn't beat the same since my first teenage daughter has been at the wheel...that was until Sat. driving clinic, where I didn't know where my heart was as it raced faster than Emily drove! We had such a "meaningful" experience. I pray we both hold onto what we learned for a lifetime. Thanks to you and all the guys and gals, even the ones who enjoyed my obvious terror. It was well done!!!!
Please put my name and e-mail on a blaster list as I have another teenage daughter to be at the wheel this Jan.. I will send Dad next round. He needs a little excitement in his life.
          Thanks again.
          Sincerely,
          Amy Lytle
