  • Fall Clinic Dates (FINAL)

It has been made official, the Teen Driver Clinic will be taking place this coming fall, at Gardendale First Baptist on the following dates:

    Oct. 2nd
    Oct. 23rd
    Nov. 6th

We will need people to help work these clinics, either as cone shaggers, advice givers, or just pleasant attitudes cheering folks on. If you'd like to help out, post in here, send Rod or myself a PM/email, and let us know your intentions.

If you need info about the clinic for your children or friends kids, post here and we can email you information and get you pointed in the right direction.

For all who have already volunteered in my other thread, no need to chime in here unless your plans have changed. I will post a worker list later.

Registration "stuff" should be available soon.

I will plan to be at all 3, for whatever you need. I usually do the field advice/instructing stuff, but can shag cones too and setup.

EDIT:: If I replied in the other thread, deal with it!

I need some info for my nephew to attend the class. Hes 15 and has a permit...is that sufficient?

I plan to try to help for the november one though unless something drastic changes with my job. I might can make it out for the the Oct 2 event, but that just depends on what time the Alabama Florida game is. Gotta have priorities people!

We've all got priorities Chris...cars 1st, football at best 2nd

PM me your email address and I will send you a registration form + info for your nephew. Permit is fine of course. permit or license, we require a parent to be with the students.

by the way, with a proper minor waiver and a parent along, your nephew can also autox . My 15 yr old had his first autox at the last event.

I'm good to go on any of those dates. Rod, keep in touch with me via e-mail, RCRussom@Gmail.com.

Is the door still cracked with Hoover? Anything I can do? I'm really surprised that didn't just fall in place based on the way Sgt. Gregory talked. It was an immediate issue for him and having ALSCCA swoop in and put together everything sounded like just what he was looking for....Kind of like going out to do yardwork and your neighbor saying "Ahh, don't worry about it, I'll do it for you, I love yardwork."

                    Will do Robert. Thanks!

Not sure about Hoover. Given the time we had to work with and my contacts at the church, GFBC was the easiest thing to do.

While GFBC is very nice to let us hold clinics there, the Hoover location is much larger and closer to the middle of town, which would be a nice bonus. It's still an avenue we should consider.

Put me down for Nov. 6. Also, have a young man from my church that would like to enter the class on the same day. He is 15 and has a learners permit. Appreciate any info, and how to get paperwork if he is eligible. Thanks guys.
