Potential Fall 2010 clinic dates

Okay folks, I am still undecided if I will succeed Greg in the admin role, but I have contacted the church (Gardendale First Baptist) and have several dates we can use this fall. If we are going to hold any clinics this year I need to know which three dates to reserve. Of course we gotta have a classroom instructor for each so it would be helpful if you could indicate that you can serve in that manner as well. I assume the choices are Greg, Cholewa, or Yoder...is there anyone else with experience?

I'm good for Oct 2nd, 23rd and Nov 6. C is good for Oct 2 and Nov 6th.

October 2nd is TVR Region's Crow Mountain Hillclimb and IMSA's Petit LeMans. I'll be in Scottsboro.
October 23rd is a big SCCA weekend at VIR - out of range for most of us.
October 30th is NASCAR at Talladega and another SCCA event at VIR - not a problem for most.
November 6th is the Atlanta Region's ARRC at Road Atlanta. I'll be there.
November 13th is Buccaneer Region's TT/ECR at Roebling Road and PBOC at Barber.

Thanks for the info Chuck. Since practically the entire roster of Teen Driver Clinic workers are autocrossers I only cross-checked the ALSCCA, TVR, & TAC autocross schedules.

I'm good for all dates except OCT 2, as I'll be out of town for a volvo meet.

Rod, right now all dates are open for me, and I will do any job assigned.
(PS- no experience as instructor; I have tested the exercises though in a Miata and a Sequoia)

I don't think I have any solid plans for those dates. I'm available for field instruction and setup/breakdown, etc.

BTW, I still have the pieces of the PPT I was working on so long ago floating around somewhere. I need to finish it and have it available for the classes, assuming we can get a projector to use. Having that backup might open the door to some new instructor choices.

Per the responses so far, it looks like Oct 2, Oct 23, & Nov 6 are the dates with the most available workers.

No one fessed up as classroom instructor, so...
Oct 2 - is there an instructor available?

The longer we drag this out the lower the chances we can get the dates we want.

It looks like Oct. 23rd is potentially the only one I might be able to do . I will be working a corner for the CMHC the 2nd and working tech for the ARRC in Nov.

This means someone will need to go out and get the equipment in the truck for the 1st and 3rd clinics.

No prior experience here as an instructor but I did serve as instructor for other things. I'll be happy to do it if you need me to. Pick a card, I mean date, any date!

Got another few questions for you folks:

1) Do you think Halloween would detrimentally affect a clinic on 10/30?

2) 10/23 & 11/6 look solid per your responses. Holding one on 10/30 would mean three consecutive weekends. That sounds a bit extreme to me, but what do you think?

3) A friend whose daughter attended a May 2009 clinic (he has since made a couple of autocrosses) lives in the Pell City area. There has recently been a series of serious accidents involving teens in their school, including one fatality. He will be checking on parent interest & possible locations for having a clinic there. Y'all up for holding one there if it comes together?

I think that Halloween date would be kind of hard. Im a big fan of the holiday and would like to be home that day plus like you said 3 weekends in a row would be a bit tough.

Pell City is much closer for us! I think C and I would be game for that.
