Results from both days event (pts 7 & 8) will be listed below in response to this post.
The challenge brackets were done in an excel spreadsheet setup to have both days PAX results combined for placement in the super challenge, whilst only using day 2 run times as the "dial in", as that was the course we were using for the challenge.
Super Challenge Winners:
1st: Marty Mitchell (With a 2.434 advantage over Ryan Tolleson)
2nd: Ryan Tolleson
3rd: Steve Saunders
Bonus Challenge Winners:
1st: Ismael Hueramo (Third ever autocross!)
2nd: Connor Greer
3rd: Hunter Hadesty
Sunday Challenge Winner: Matthew Ragan (Matthew gets a free entry to a future event)
The best themed car was Nate McCrary's air cooled banana Corvair.
The best dressed was William Phillips (Austin) with his fuzzy helmet. I bet his head was sweaty during the challenge runs against his codriver in the corded tire MDX!
We really appreciate everyone coming out!
We had a few kinks to iron out with timing during the challenge, but did so with haste, and the challenges went pretty well!
Special thanks to Steve Saunders for his Excel prowess, (we would have been doing math on pen and paper without his contribution) Brad Clarke and his experience with Axware and autocross in general, (as he has been in the game since he was a child) Dwayne Custer and his experience in the timing software and setting up a smooth event for us at any autocross, and Joshua Toxey who didn't even get to compete, but drove out to help, and even stayed late to help get the site cleaned back up following the event.
We look forward to the last event of the season, and building upon this event for future possibilities, next season.
