Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

just to be clear, the +1 is +1 sec or 2?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

"+x" means plus x cones, so add 2 seconds to the time shown for each cone. for example, "50.0+1" means a 50 second run with 1 cone, resultant time is 52 seconds.

Exactly. You pwn3d it up. You didn't catch my raw time, but I'll gladly admit defeat in this case.

I was thoroughly impressed with the Rabbit's runs.

I think less power may have been helpful yesterday. I had NO grip.

I really couldnt figure out the 8 yesterday either. My first run was the fastest, although i caught a cone. The fastest clean that i had was a tenth slower than that first run of the day.
Also i would have had another podium finish were is not for a certain ::cough cough:: BS car that "wasnt modded". But its ok, im still learning right. I will try and leave the competitiveness at a 4 until i figure out my car a little better.

Meh ... I had plenty. Some areas got the rear loose, but if you could work with it it was pretty fast that way. My 46.6 run was pretty loose ... so loose that I bumped those cones right at the end. I think oversteer was a big advantage yesterday.

It's not that the rabbit has less power, but the torque comes on instantly (2600 or so) and stays on. The only place that was a problem was the turn around, and if I didn't have brand new tires I probably would have ebraked it and shaved a quarter of a second (maybe).

You have to remember, NA cars have nice smooth power curves and no 3krpm surprises. I'm giving all the credit to the tires though.
