Wow, the novice class pax times were very, very close. Who sez PAX doesn't work?(ducks and hides)
Also thanks to Mark Kilgore for pushing me so hard. He had me until the last run and I only got him by .224. Also Erik, I didn't realize was that close, only .583 out of 1st place!
There will be a ton of very competent novices moving up to the open classes next year. Congrats to the club for creating a very successful novice program!"I'm not as think as you slow I am"

Well I had the fastest raw time in Novice in Kathy's Porsche!!! But the pax brought me down to 5th...there was still some left in Kathy's car just didn't have the runs to get there...
What a great event we had, and I appreciate everyone who let me take their cars out for a drive. My perceptions of Porsche's have definitely changed post event.
And Erik, your car is a blast to drive and is probably the best Focus on the face of the planet earth!

That cone on the 47.7 run will haunt me for awhile. Chris and Paul got by me because of it and I fully expect to not stop hearing about it until next season
Vincent, I had no idea you had nothing but the utmost reverence and positive perception of all things Porsche. I'm honestly shocked that I allowed you in my house with this lack of respect for "THE" best cars on the face of the planet. The best description I have ever seen for Porsche goes something like "The worst automotive design ever conceived of, executed to perfection!". It's hard to deny that a Porsche is anything short of miraculous to drive. And if someone does deny this, they aren't driving it hard enough!Last edited by Jedi1; 11-18-2009, 12:31 AM.

Yeah, when I drove it I baby'd it because of my prior experiences with MR and RR drivetrains. That car is NOTHING like any other rear biased car I've ever driven. I maybe pushed it to 6/10 ... there is a LOT let in that car.
However, I still think it felt a little flat for a car classed as BSP. I don't see the power increasing much if built to BSP spec since you can't go in to the engine ... only bolt-ons.Matt W.

I accidentally pulled up the 11/2008 results and was all, "How could my raw time be 72.xxx when my slowest run was 57.xxx???"
So the only person I came in ahead of was the guy who did not record any clean runs. Sux to be me!
I console myself by looking at the above - I have taken 15 seconds off my time since this time last yearIf I hold to that trend...

Right away the car was begging to be pushed harder and I couldn't believe how direct the steering was and how manageable the car was under throttle...

So Vince, you can have your very own Porsche for about the same as you've got into any one of your other cars....would you like me to help you start shopping for your 911???
