Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • Points #10 Results Can Go Here When Ready!

Yeah, so the results are posted on the trailer at each event. Do I go over there and LOOK AT THE RESULTS? No, no I do not. Instead, I languish in uncertainty and post messages like this until our masterful timekeepers publish the results online. OK well actually first I make a few phone calls and send a few emails (I'M LOOKIN AT YOU VINCENT COKER, I KNOW YOU HAD THE RESULTS IN YOUR POCKET WHEN I CALLED YOU LAST NIGHT, OR YOU WERE SITTING NEXT TO SOMEBODY WHO DID!). Then I come here and check for results.

Also, seriously, I'm curious if the times for fun runs were recorded anywhere? I did what I'm sure was my absolute fastest run of the day and the timing clock said I ran a 8.320! This being fun runs, FTD had already been decided in the morning. But I was pretty impressed with my improvement, 57.xxx down to 8.320! W00t! haha! AS IF! Of course I'd like to know my real time on that one, but I fear it is relegated to the cutting room floor or wherever unrecorded run-times go.

FYI, Fun runs time are not recorded. We leave the timing light on but the computer isn't recording them. It's up to you to look for your time at Fun Runs. If there's a timing issue we'll reset the light but we don't record the results.

Results will be posted at Axware when Matt makes his final check and they are approved.

Kathy, If I remember correctly you did well.

    Thanks

Thanks, John. It was a great day! I will wait and see if I have climbed up from the bottom of the novice ranks!

Actually, the Fun Runs were technically recorded ... I've got the saved file with the whole list of them. But, there is no car recorded next to the numbers. =)

The results will be up tonight. But, I may just PM the link to everyone but you since you simply decided to not look at them printed on the trailer. =P

Well if the timing clock showed 8.320 for my time, is whatever time I ran gone forever? Or is it on your list right next to the 8.320 maybe?

And I did not "SIMPLY DECIDE."

          It was extremely complex!

The 8 second run occurred when a car hit cones just before the finish, and the cones tripped the lights again after the car. The next 5 or 6 times were messed up until we fixed it.

Kathy, I have a huge list of times and nothing else. There is no reference of what car ran the time. We did not enter cars in to the computer for fun runs.
