  • Jordan "1st Place" Towns

Congratulations to Jordan for taking 1st place in GS at the Black Lake South Carolina 2-day event this weekend. She was almost a half second behind after Saturday, then scorched the class by nearly 2 seconds on Sunday to win by 1.5 seconds.

      I didn't see it, it didn't happen.

        Awesome Jordan! Great job!

It must've taken the 2nd day to get the tires up to temp.

Thanks everyone! And I wanna say thanks to Peter and Kim - because I was originally planning on leaving on Saturday, but when I saw I actually had a chance to win GS, I wanted to stay until Sunday - and they were gracious enough to share their extra hotel space with me so I could stay! Congratulations to Peter too - he got 2nd in the ENORMOUS street tire class!

Nice run! I really thought this was next month at this time. I was just at the BMW factory last tuesday, lol. 4 days too early!

When is the next big Atlanta event? I've never made it over there and I think it's abut time to see what's up with HS in that there part of the world.

                EXCELLENT!

It's always fun to see "our people" doing good at other venues-

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...... again.

August 9th at Turner Field, August 23rd at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Both are good venues. The stiffest Atlanta competition in HS was at the SSSS... a white Ford Escort with R-comps. When everyone shows up in B'ham HS, you have a stronger overall group. It would be fun to see you in Atlanta for an event!

Oh yeah, we have a Pro class! It's full of national champions (Tim Smith in ST) and contenders (Matt Glagola and Rick Cone in STS - and more). Bring your r-comps if you want to be competitive.

Way to go Jordan! It's much easier to blow a 1st day lead than to come from behind on the 2nd day!

                              Congrats Jordan!

I need to start whoring myself out so I can afford to go to some other events and other venues...lol I have some friends down in the Gulf Coast Region that have been begging me to bring the 7 down there for some events. They just had a day/night event down there recently that would of been fun.

Thanks to BRC, my car needs new tires after just 6 events and 1 track day at TGPR...lol. Poor ole' Azenis' never had a chance.
