Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

Well, it was the shortest and loneliest caravan to Atlanta ever. Just me.

No time for crying about it I had a blast! I got 2nd place in CSP in a very competitive pack of CSP cars. Tom Shuman got 3rd after I trashed talked him. I was informed that in Atlanta they save the trash talk for after the event since doing it during the event usually gets them in trouble. I told them that I was from Birmingham and trash talking makes you faster. I clipped Tom by a couple of tenths. Kevin Boswell took the prize and passed me for 1st by a couple of tenths. the whole 1st run group of the morning session was the 3 of us taking turns at 1st place. It was awesome! 50 second range course designed by Jay Parcon and 4 runs to get your best time. The surface at Turner field is smooth and fast!

I wish more folks would travel to see how other regions do things so you can first hand experience of what works and what doesn't and what might for us in Bham.

I was done driving, had worked my worker assignment, changed tires and was ready to head home by 12:00 noon. I felt guilty for leaving so early so I hung out and watched a bit of the afternoon session. With over 160 entrants, Meredith Najewicz and the TEAM SOLO crew do a fantastic job of organizing and running the event. Outstanding!

      Y'all shoulda gone with me.

I was there, only for the afternoon. My company had a meeting in ATL the week prior and I stayed with a friend until Sunday. Huge event out there and it was a blast.

We appreciate you driving over for our events! One class that B'ham has that's as strong as ATL is CSP... congratulations for your 2nd place John.

I have a feeling that I'll be in a caravan of one on the way to Bham after the night event in ATL on July 11th.

Hey Peter, I had planned on doing the night event as well as the Shootout but my plans got whammied by a family reunion that weekend in Illinois. I'll miss both events.
