Starting in 2025, regsitration will close on the Wednesday before the event. This will hopefully allow for me to push the supplemental email out a bit earlier in the evening before the event. Many of you may not know, but those days usually involve me getting up at 4am for work, leaving work and going to set up course, getting home after 6pm to have supper, eventually cramming together the supplementals and pushing them as fast as I can by 9pm. Then, I can finally charge batteries, hook up the trailer, load up the car, strap it down... it's usually past midnight when I've finally ready for bed. I'm not detailing all of this to complain so much as trying to justify the decision to close registration earlier, as I think it can benefit our particpants having this information sooner and hopefully with me having time to carefully look it over and not feel so rushed.

Test & Tune with Driving Instruction:

Our Test and Tune event will be unlimited runs (barring the line at the staging area) and you will work an assigned hour of the day. There won't be any work assignment preference available as it will be a skeleton crew on course for the day. The rest of the day you will have to make adjustments to the car, or drive the course. There will be no scheduled lunch break, so you will need to eat when you can. This will allow for the course to be open for more folks testing.

The waiver station will be closed after the course goes hot. ~ 8:45am We will be operating on a skeleton crew to allow for the most runs as possible for everyone who attends. Be sure you and your guests arrive early to obtain your wristband, or you simply won't be allowed in.

There will be no live timing at the test and tune but the timing lights will be set up to display the times you run.

If you are seeking driving instruction, you will be paired with an instructor who will try to make themselves as available as possible for ridealongs as well as other instruction. The instructor may invite you to ride in there car, or even you can invite them to drive your car if you think it would be beneficial.

If you're interested in being an instructor, please register as one. You can register as an instructor and still do your test n tune at a discount. However, there will be an expectation that you'll provide ample time for the people you will instruct.

If you are like me and just want to instruct, register as just an instructor and a discount will be applied for your registration on Sunday's event.

Come test out those pimp shocks you got during the off-season!

Come give instruction to your next greatest rival in the sport!

When you register as an instructor, I'll add you to this list and get you a list of the people I'll pair with you.

    Instructors:
    1. Nick Lindsay
    2. Charlie Richardson
    3. Lacey Truett
    4. James Truett
    5. Tom Harrington
    6. Justin Richardson
    7. Johnny Brewster
    8. Clay Mccool

    GENERAL INFO
    • Waivers: Everyone working Waivers must be an SCCA Member. If you volunteer for Waivers, you'll receive further information through email.
    • Registration and payment for this event are online. I will try to stay ahead of any classing corrections to eliminate any changes at check-in. Weekend Memberships for entrants will be managed through MSReg.
    • Tech Inspectors: Only experienced SCCA Members can work Tech.
    • Novice Coaches should be experienced.
    • Shadows: If you’re interested in learning any of the skilled Early Worker positions (registration, trailer setup, tech, worker chief, timing, etc.), offer to Shadow. We’ll do our best to make it your worker position. The number of Shadow Positions offered will depend on the number of entrants. SSS shadows have priority.
    • Please let us know if you’re experienced with Timing or are interested in shadowing to learn this position.
Ideally, Early Workers would not be required to work during the event, but if attendance is low or

there’s a high rate of Novice entries, we may need you to cover an additional position.

I signed up to test and tune but would be willing to instruct novices and other drivers below my level. I don't feel that I'm qualified to instruct at a high level. If you need need me too just let me know and I'll change the registration.

I'll sign up of T&T/Driver for Saturday. If you need additional instructors, I can help with that as well. (With same thoughts as Mitch on qualifications.) Although I've got about 1000-1100 runs now since 2018 in my car at various places in the south.

For Sunday I can Safety Stewert if needed.

I’ll be learning from whom ever I can on Saturday. As for Sunday could I request to shadow safety?

In order to shadow safety, you'll need to complete the SSS training on the SCCA portal. I may have to initiate that for you. We are going to SEDiv this weekend and I'll run it by Scott and Justin.

Excellent looking TNT course! Looks like the first half has 2 constant slaloms with a constant radius 180 corner! This will allow good constant feedback to adjust shock, swaybar and tire pressures!

Well, new year, new car(ish?). I’ll be trying to learn the handling of my new Ioniq 5 N on Saturday so I’ll be ready to maybe compete on Sunday. Anyone who wants to hop in at any time is welcome to as long as they have their helmet. I didn’t sign up for instruction so that some of our newer drivers can take advantage of the coaches, but if any coaches have downtime, feel free to hop in and provide some tips. Looking forward to finally getting back out there!
