Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • possible co-drive for Event 4?

Howdy everyone! Joseph Cote here. I didn't see any familiar names on the entry list for Event 4, but I think I may still be in town when this event is happening so I figure I'd ask here. I lived in Birmingham years ago and made it out to one event back then, and life proceeded to take me to a few different places over the years. For the last 5 years, I've been out Austin, TX. I ended up joining Spokes a few years back and ended up falling back into autocross and rejoining E-Street after I bought an '03 Spyder and even ended up as tech chief for a season. The MR2 has been left at home cause my DD focus is much better on longer road trips. If anyone's open to a co-drive for this event, I'm open to paying co-drive fees. I've got some decent national results, and I'm pretty easy on equipment and tires. Unfortunately I didn't bring my solostorm or video setup, but I'm open to analyzing data or videos between runs if y'all have it, and I'm fairly handy with setup adjustments assuming there's enough runs to get a baseline on how the car handles and understand what may need to be tweaked. My general wheelhouse are lightweight momentum type cars like the ES MR2/NB1 Miata, CS/STR Miatas, DS/SSC/STX BRZ's, FWD cars are a go as well. Power cars aren't too much of an issue for me either, it'll just likely take a run to adjust to the different throttle approach needed. I've just always been curious about this lot, so I figure I'd see if there's any takers. No worries if not, though.

If anybody is reading, this would be an incredible opportunity for you to learn. He does not have his data handy, but I'd be willing to lend my Vbox Sport to whoever would give him a codrive for the event to obtain this data to look at going forward.

Joseph is too modest, but if I were him submitting a request for a codrive, I would've used the results from a STACKED 44 driver E Street field at nats in 2022 to display my skill behind the wheel:

Also, Joseph, you'll likely receive more engagement if you post this image of the results to our ALSCCA Members Chat page on facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/472411797658334

If at first you don't succeed, you probably put it in the ditch.

Thanks for the kind words, Nick! I suppose I was just wanting to more highlight I'd be easy on equipment more than anything. ES is a bit of a phone booth knife fight, but that's why we do it right?

I sent a request to that group and I'll crosspost this over there whenever that goes green.

E street is a great class until Bartek puts a second on second place, and those cars don't have a second to just "pick up". Lots of momentum maintenance and patience.
