Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • New Apex Wheels

    Hey folks,

Newbie here. I'm looking at Apex wheels for just autocrossing. I'm driving a 2014 Mustang GT. What size would you recommend? Stay with 19" or go to 18" for savings? Wide as possible? Square or Staggered? I'm looking at the EC-7's specifically. Appreciate any help.

Well, that depends on what class you're trying to run. If you're trying to stay in street class, the wheels need to be factory width offset (+-5mm) and can only be +-1" in diameter of the factory wheels.

I beleive the 2014 Mustang GT came with 18's on it?

18's are kinda the sweet size, and they have the most tire options, and the tires have a significant discount over the 19" tires when you buy tires. All ++++ in my book.

If at first you don't succeed, you probably put it in the ditch.

Grassroots Motorsports magazine web site has some good tire comparison info. Will help with selecting a brand. I ran Kumho 730 last year and was happy with them.

Thanks for the ideas Nick and MWenning. If I'm reading the rules correctly, I think I'm eligible for STU or CAM-C. It had some mods done to it before I bought it. I'm pretty set on the 18's now. I'll look into those Kumhos

Hey sorry I'm late to the party. I have a set of 18x11 ET52 Apex EC-7 in Anthracite and all the spacers to make them work for a 2014 GT. I no longer have my Mustang so I want them gone. You are more than welcome to test fit them and see if you like them. They have a set of ancient 315/30/18 BFG Rival S tires still mounted to them. I also have a supply of the weird go fast parts people have found over the years, like a V6 convertible rear bar as well as most of the parts needed to make it STU or a mild-prep CAMC.

These wheels do look very nice!
