Registration will go live on October 1st at 12:00am

This event is scheduled October 15th and October 16th.

You MUST REGISTER BOTH DAYS if you want to compete in both days of this event.

You CAN still register for just one event, but you won't be eligible for the super challenge if you choose too.

    "Revenge of the Cones!"

    (Halloween themed event.)

Dress up in your costume, or even dress your car up for Halloween!

This is a two day event, that will feature pro style scoring, which will be your best run both days added together.

There will also be a challenge bracket format with payouts to top finishers.

There will be a super challenge bracket filled by performance in respective classes, and a bonus challenge filled in random at the site by those who choose to signup. Both challenges will have payouts.

Payouts! ($1,000 total to pay out at this event)
    - Super Challenge Payout
    1st Place $250
    2nd Place $150
    3rd Place $100
    - Bonus Challenge Payout
    1st Place $250
    2nd Place $150
    3rd Place $100

*** EDIT to include detailed challenge information that is also in Steve's comment below.***
    • All folks that compete both days will be eligible for the challenges.
    • There will be 16 people in the Super Challenge and 16 people in the Bonus Challenge.
    • In each challenge, drivers will be matched up head to head and compared against their own dial-in time, most improved moves on, single elimination.
    • Dial-in time will be the lowest time each competitor achieved on Sunday (after penalties).
    • Super Challenge (excludes Novices):
      • The top finisher for the combined two day times in each class will automatically be in the Super Challenge, we typically have 8 or 9 classes represented.
      • The balance of the 16 will be filled based on the best two day combined PAX times.
    • Bonus Challenge:
      • The 3 fastest PAX times in the Novice Class are automatically in.
      • The remaining 13 spots will be filled by random draw.
    • Random Draws:
      • The fastest 2 day Novice driver will draw names for the remaining 13 spots in the Bonus Challenge.
      • The fastest 2 day Novice driver will also draw names for the head to head match ups in BOTH challenges.
    • Class Hoppers:
      • If anyone wants to switch classes to gain an advantage of some kind, that's fine. But I will personally pay Bo Jinright's registration fees for both days and put him on the mic to mercilessly haze you for two days straight. Jerry - I think you'll be just fine in Pro.
    • Sand Baggers - Well..., good luck

The PDF file of these courses will be attached in a reply to this post due to attachment size limitations. I'm making them available for those who desire to download the course maps.

We will need to start sooner on Sunday to accommodate quiet hour, and the runoff brackets for MONEY later in that day. This means there will likely be less time for course walk Sunday morning.

If you have ANY questions regarding the event, or recommendations, feel free to reply to this post.

Registration closes this Friday 10-14-22 at 5pm. Make sure to get signed up!

I'm curious about this as well, how many people in each shootout?

MSReg says "Super challenge bracket will have all PAX class winners by default, and the rest of the bracket will be filled by next closest margins to first in their respective class."

If I'm normally like 3rd or 4th in Pro this makes me feel like I shouldn't run Pro and just whatever normal GS class to have a better chance of making the shootout.

We are actually looking at doing the top PAX positions who didn't place in the bracket will fill out the rest of the bracket for this purpose. A detailed bracket to come soon, along with courses!

So... like after normal runs, you'll figure out who is in the shootout and that group will do another run? Top PAX time wins?

We decided on bringing in this twist a little late and we're doing our best to fill in the blanks. Technical questions on "rules" are welcome and probably needed, but please direct those to email - alscca.solochair@gmail.com , to avoid cluttering things up here. We'll collect and respond here for everyone's benefit. Here's a little more structure on the Challenges planned for Sunday -
              • All folks that compete both days will be eligible for the challenges.
              • There will be 16 people in the Super Challenge and 16 people in the Bonus Challenge.
              • In each challenge, drivers will be matched up head to head and compared against their own dial-in time, most improved (highest margin) moves on, single elimination. Dial-in - Head to Head Time = Margin

Do dial in times get reset after a break out (faster run) or is it always the same dial-in based on your Sunday time?

The dial-in times will be set during the regular event and will be used for each head to head, so no, they will not change. Formula: (Dial-in - Head to Head Time = Margin). Greatest margin in each head to head moves on.
