  • August 21st Red Hills event.

I'm planning on doing a double header weekend and running down to Moultrie for the event on the 21st of August, after our event on the 20th.

They have a nice concrete site.

    Anybody wanna tag along?

If at first you don't succeed, you probably put it in the ditch.

Update on how that event went: FOR FUTURE REFERENCE

It ran very smoothly, and those folks know how to put on a good event. The course was really good, and had 4 slaloms (which is good practice before nats).

The event was at Spence Field in Moultrie Georgia. This is about 5hrs from Birmingham.

Their starter made sure to keep an eye on the course to make sure folks wouldn't end up driving too close to eachother, as the particular layout in a worse case scenario could spell trouble. Experienced starters go a long way when trying to make the most of your site.

The concrete feels great, and very similiar to Lincoln concrete. Romesh says that it feels just a smidge looser at Spence field than Lincoln, but that if you tune your car to have a touch more rotation, it will feel really nice in Lincoln.

Link to my best run so you can see what it looked like:
