Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    I changed some settings on my shocks, and tried different tire strategies throughout this day. I think the course was nice, even if it was a bit tighter and more technical than usual.

    Now, let's see your media, and thoughts on what you've been able to reflect on!

    This is also a great place to voice any concerns or criticism from the event.

    I didn't remember to take pictures, except when I first got there at the sunrise... oooOOOOoooo pretty...

        Big thanks to Josh for the codrive in the Veloster N! This was my best run of the day. Definitely a lot more speed capability in the car. Even on a nice day and getting sprayed the OEM front tires were giving up a bit under two-driver use.

          I personally think the Veloster makes it's power quicker than the Type R, with the Type R having more peak power. Idk if the compressor in the turbos is the big difference, or what, but, I think it makes more autocross usable power lol.
          With that being said, the Type R has been top dog in D Street, and it would be interesting to see if the dual clutch Veloster, or the GR86 can maybe threaten that.

            I think when you're coming off the bank, and going to have a wider exit, (not immediately turning left after the culvert pipe) you can probably resist touching the brake pedal.
            I find if I am just smooth thru that next left hander, the car will often take that turn at Bank speed, so long as you have a wide entry, and exit. When you touch the brakes, you may can induce more rotation to help the car turn, but it's going to slow you down.
            I think if you lift to maintain speed thru that turn, you can stick it. The grip does drop off there, and it feels like a leap of faith a bit. But, when our course is designed to use that turn, any MPH lost there is going to hurt you all the way down that back side.
