Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

  • Custom roll bars and cages

Who do we like that can build a custom roll bar? I'm looking to get one put in my Mini in the next couple weeks. Thanks.

Mark Stewart at Kirk Racing in Gardendale. He's one of my best friends but don't hold that against him. He's an artist with tubing and a welder, will tell you exactly when he can get you in, and get the car out of his shop as soon as possible. Each time we've taken one of our endurance cars to tech with Lemons/Champ/WRL the inspectors call other teams over, point to our cage, and say "THAT'S how you build a cage"

I second endorsing Mark. He's very knowledgeable, and professional. We told him the miata was gonna be a ChampCar, and he already knew exactly what cage needed to be built. The results were great!
For others reading, he makes high quality miata roll bars, and he is local. Go get you one!

Mark also built the header Zac & I have in our IS300s. No one makes an aftermarket header with cars anymore. Mark said "bring me the shortest cats you can find and I'll make the header".

Mark built the cage for our spec Miata with Nascar bars and I can confirm what Rod and Nick spot on.
