A bit of controversy in some of the PAX going forward. Mainly, the concern is with F Street PAX. Why the controversy? Well, that brings me to the next point of 2022...
There have been a few classing changes. You can read more in the December Fastrack linked below.
The main notable changes here are:
What would have been A Street narrow body C6 Corvette will be in B Street in 2022 along with NA Porsche 911 99-04.
The A Street 2021+ Toyota Supra will now also be moving down to B Street to join it's predecessor.
The "track ponies" 6th Gen Camaro SS 1LE and S550 Mustang GT350 will now be in F Street. This is the move that has brought controversy regarding F Street PAX for 2022. The modified PAX value after moving cars that trophied in B Street to F Street is extraordinarily soft. B Street PAX value for 2022 is 0.818 and F Street was going to be 0.807 for 2022, but after moving the "track ponies" to F Street, it is now going to be 0.808. Since a Camaro SS 1LE got second and was leading until the last B Street car made it's run at nats, makes some concern and controversy to that move. It's going to be interesting to see how poorly this will play out in "fixing" F Street participation nationally.
TireRack has been acquired by Discount Tire. No more feeling guilty ordering your tires from Discount Tire when Tire Rack has been great to support the SCCA for years. They do plan to keep supporting the SCCA and keep the Tire Rack brand alive. Read more in link below.
