TAC Event this Saturday May 16, 2009

There is a TAC autocross this Saturday in Huntsville, any one planning on driving up? TAC events are very laid back, it's on a Saturday, and it's not that far of a drive. Those three things alone should bring you guys out other wise ****************************.

I wish I could make it out .I love running with those folks.I am making a move to another job and have spent the last 3-5 weekends doing motorsport stuff so I need to do some quality wifee honeydo time also .You guys go do some ALSCCA representing .Ill see you next Sunday.

That you did! They had custom event-specific magnets for trophies, but you had already left. I managed to grab one myself, but it's not as cool as those 3 cones I should have gotten from our own events. *cough*

double crap!! just can't win on the weather. I waited as long as possible and decided to stay home.

I've never been to John Hunt. The track map for today's event looked like it might be a fast course. Was it as open on the straights as it looked on paper?

Yes, but I don't recommend trying to push it with a loose car - you'll end up in the grass like I did.

I got nicely into third gear on the massive offset gates on the return side, (I only find the limiter in second at about half of our events) but I wouldn't call it straight. Four or five cars spun there and had all the room you could want for it. We have a much larger space available, but they don't have light poles or curbs.

Thanks for the invite, it was absolutely worth the drive!
