What is the status of Snell releases?

My helmet expired in 2020, but I believe that they are legal to use until the new Snells for the expiration year are available. Do the powers that be know if my expired helmet is legal for Sunday's autocross? I'd love to attend, but there is no way I can get a new helmet prior to the event and loaners are out of the picture due to covid.

No use complaining, but my current helmet is pristine....I know there must be a good reason.

Roger, you don’t tell us what your rating actually is but I assume 2005. The 2020 Snell helmets came out at the end of the year as usual. This usually means the 2005 is now expired because the rule for autocross is current standard plus the previous two. However SCCA extended the 2005 standard through the end of 2021.
