Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    GENERAL INFO
    • We have access to the site for course setup on FRIDAY the 26th from 3 – 5 PM. We must take advantage of this to ensure Saturday morning runs well.

    • We’ll need two sets of truck and trailer drivers. I’ll cover Friday to get it there but will need a Course Setup volunteer to get me home (off 280 towards Chelsea). We’ll need an SCCA Member (driver) and a helper to get it back to the storage yard after the event Saturday.

    • Course Setup will be as simple as following a printed course map. The grid and parking setup on the pad may be a little tricky since there are no painted lines.

    • Solo Safety Stewards: If possible, I’d like an SSS to come by the site on Friday ~5:30 for a preliminary course walk.

    • Waivers: Everyone working Waivers must be an SCCA Member. If you volunteer for Waivers, you'll receive further information through email.

    • Registration and payment for this event is online. I will try to stay ahead of any classing corrections to eliminate any changes at check-in. Weekend Memberships for entrants will be managed through MSReg.

    • Tech Inspectors: Only experienced SCCA Members can work Tech.

    • Novice Coaches should be experienced. First and second timers will be limited to about 15, still, having two coaches would be best.

    • Shadows: If you’re interested in learning any of the skilled Early Worker positions (registration, trailer setup, tech, worker chief, timing etc.), offer to Shadow. We’ll do our best to make it your worker position. The number of Shadow Positions offered will depend on the number of entrants. SSS shadows have first priority.

    • Please let us know if you’re experience with Timing or are interested in shadowing to learn this position.

Ideally Early Workers would not be required to work during the event, but if attendance is low or

there’s a high rate of Novice entries, we may need you to cover an additional position.
