Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    GENERAL INFO
    • We’ll need two sets of truck and trailer drivers. We’ll need an SCCA Member (driver) and a helper to get it back to the storage yard after the event Sunday.

    • Waivers: Everyone working Waivers must be an SCCA Member.

    • Registration and payment for this event is online. I will try to stay ahead of any classing corrections to minimize changes at check-in.
    • Tech Inspectors: Only experienced SCCA Members can work Tech.
    • Novice Coaches should be experienced. Novices entries will be limited to 20, having two coaches would be best.
    • Shadows: If you’re interested in learning any of the skilled Early Worker positions (registration, trailer setup, tech, worker chief, timing etc.), offer to Shadow. We’ll do our best to make it your worker position. The number of Shadow Positions offered will depend on the number of entrants. SSS shadows have first priority. There will be no shadows for a position that would be difficult to follow social distancing guidelines.

Ideally Early Workers would not be required to work during the event, but is attendance dependent.

I'm good to do Timing and Scoring setup, but my current plan is to do a kart race in Tupelo, Mississippi on Saturday as well. So if anyone else wants to do this job so I don't have to be among the living at 6:30am. I am all game for it.

Course setup, and don't mind working the event (starter or anything) during the event as needed.

I can do timing/scoring setup. Just need someone to download the file from MSR, or give my MSR account organizer rights so I can download it.

If Miles is alive, can I shadow with him?

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

We definitely need one more SSS and a backup second.

The only other critical position left is Worker Chief. I will assign positions and send to everyone on Saturday after registration closes to avoid the worker gatherings. The Worker Chief will need to fix any mistake I may make in assignments, adjust for any no shows etc.
