Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    CANCELLED - Sept 14 Autocross Worker Thread

    SCHEDULE:

    7:00 a.m. - Gates open for Early Setup folks
    8:30-9:00 a.m. - Registration
    8:30-9:30 a.m. – Course open for walking
    8:30-9:30 a.m. - Tech Inspection (You must be registered in order to get your car tech'd)
    9:00 a.m. - Novice meeting and directed course walk
    9:30 a.m. - Mandatory Driver's Meeting
    10:00 a.m. - First car off
    ~4:00 p.m. - course clean up and trophy presentation

    Wherever, just can't do early.

    Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
    Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

            We are just under 2 weeks out from this event! Need a lot more folks to help out.

            I won't be at this one, due to a friend's wedding being scheduled for that date.

                I'm good for Safety Steward again.
                I can help with course set up and inspect for safety at the same time, but don't want to design it.
                I would be willing to do the Novice "walk through," but can't help them in the grid

                  This event has been cancelled due to low registration, not having anyone to run it, and threat of inclement weather.

                    I don't disagree with the need to cancel, but sunny & low-90s doesn't sound "inclement" to me

                      Last I checked, there were thunderstorms in the forecast. Also, the Met allows cancellation due to "inclement" weather, sooo...
