  • Course for this Sat- which do you prefer?

One lap ( which with our limited space will be sub 30 sec course).

Or a lap and 2/3 which could stretch out times to mid 40 sec but is more challenging, especially for novices?

Let me know your thoughts. Someone can even post a poll.

the novices have seemed to have issues with the 2nd lap. the last event had very few lost and DNF with 1 lap. 2 laps dont bother me, but i would like to see the novices grow in numbers and have more fun to come back.

Do it TnT style, short and sweet. We'll all get plenty of runs given the current registration count.

It wasn't just the novices that had issues with the last two-lapper. Many folks struggled with the course. Folks were much happier when we changed it to one lap and the event ran much more smoothly after the change.

I don't mind a 2-lapper, but from the standpoint of Novices, as well as keeping the event moving, a shorter, single lap course is probably better.

Clay, were you at the event that Charles designed course for? He had course entry at a different point than normal. It worked just fine, so if you'd like to move course entry around, we should be able to do so.

I don't mind 2-lap, as long as the visuals (what it looks like 75 feet away when driving 50 mph) are clean. But either way is fine with me. I'll be testing different tires, so a slalom-ish feature and a sweeping feature would be nice That lot with the reduced space is challenging for course design.

I would strongly prefer 1 lap over 2, for the simple fact we can compress the time between cars. 2 laps result in having to wait 25-30 seconds (assuming 15 second 1st lap) between starting cars vs 10-15 seconds with 1 lap. With the current entry list, we could probably do 9-10 runs if we have our crap together running a 1 lap.

I would also like to experiment with trailer location, I would still like to be able to see the start staging line to enter numbers, but I wonder if we can move it to a location that wouldn't constrict the middle of the course.
