Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

I can't make it to Saturday events and I think Nicky V will be out of town.
You'll need safety stewards. Chris Chatta?

Yes, I will be out of town. We may check to see who from other regions is attending to see if we can persuade them to lend a hand!

            Absolutely!

A list would be great but with few names to go on that list it doesn't work real good.

I hate to mention this, but this event is less than 1 week away with no volunteer workers! For the number of people that come to the events (and enjoy the events), there should be several people that should want to get more involved and volunteer to help a club RUN and MANAGED by volunteers. Go to events in other regions, and you will see a much larger group of people that volunteer (sometimes there are even TOO MANY volunteers).

Please consider volunteering. If no one steps up, the events will not run as well and may just have to be cancelled. I started volunteering over 30 years ago, and never stopped!

This event has been cancelled due to lack of safety stewards, lack of registrants, and poor weather forecast.
